Travis Kelce has been candid about his quick romance with Taylor Swift and the ways in which their relationship has altered his life.
Since he began dating Swift this year, the NFL player—who won two Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs—has gained even more notoriety. Their relationship became official when she attended Arrowhead Stadium in late September to support him.
J. R. Moehringer, who penned Prince Harry’s autobiography Spare, informed Kelce that someone on Swift’s staff assisted in putting them in touch after Kelce told Moehringer about his unsuccessful attempt to offer Swift his phone number following an Eras performance in Kansas City.
She undoubtedly had supporters who were aware of my identity and who urged her to “hey!” Were you aware that he would arrive? “I had someone play Cupid,” Kelce remarked.
They scheduled their first date soon after. Even though Kelce generally exudes confidence when playing football, he was feeling uneasy.
“We had been chatting a little when I met her in New York, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and talk, and you know what will happen.”
“That was the most important thing to me: make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away,” he said, expressing his initial fear of making a mistake.
Yet, it’s evident that they got along because Kelce refers to Swift as a “genius” and “hilarious.”
Additionally, Kelce claimed that at a late-night party at his Kansas City home, he and Taylor sang “Teenage Dirtbag” together.
“There was definitely some wine involved,” he jokingly said.
Furthermore, Kelce mentioned that he is becoming accustomed to the impact that Swift’s fame has had on his own life.
“I’ve never dated someone with that kind of aura, of course. Kelce remarked, “I’ve never dealt with it. “But I’m not escaping any of it either.”
It appears as though she is the subject of constant paparazzi scrutiny. They wait outside her home, at every restaurant she goes to, and at every airport she lands in every day while she goes about her daily business. I wouldn’t be nice if I acted strangely when she did it.
Tonight when Taylor plays for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Philadelphia Eagles, his parents will get to meet Kelce’s parents. Swift’s father and her are Philadelphia Eagles supporters.
Taylor has met Travis’s father, Ed, and mother, Donna. She sat in the family suite with Donna the first time she attended a Chiefs game.
Soon later, Donna was questioned about her son’s friendship with Swift on the TODAY show. In an attempt to keep himself under wraps, Swift merely stated that it was “OK” to watch a game with her.
