After her final gig in Brazil, a photo of Taylor Swift and Ana Clara Benevides Machado’s family went viral.
After Benevides’ death on Nov. 17, Swift’s team may have invited his family.
The Post asked Swift’s rep for comment.
In a video shared on X (previously Twitter), the family is seen in Allianz Parque stadium’s VIP area wearing Benevides’ face-printed T-shirts.
According to The Post, Benevides, 23, had heart arrest while waiting for the “Lavender Haze” singer to perform in Rio de Janeiro.
Folha de S.Paulo said that paramedics “resuscitated [Benevides] at the stadium for about 40 minutes” before she had a second cardiac arrest on the way to the hospital.
“I can’t believe I’m writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show,” Swift posted on Instagram. “I can’t even tell you how devastated I am.”
The “Anti-Hero” singer said she knew “very little information” about Benevides “other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young.”
“I’m not going to be able to speak about this from the stage because I feel overwhelmed by grief when I try,” the “Lover” singer said. “I feel this loss deeply and my heart goes out to her family and friends. I never expected this would happen when we brought this tour to Brazil.”
The song “Bigger Than the Whole Sky” from Swift’s 2022 album “Midnights” appeared to honor Benevides.
Swift sung, “Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye / You were bigger than the whole sky,” while playing the piano at her Nov. 19 event.
“I have much to live without/ I’ll never meet/ What might have been/What should have been you.”
Weiny Machado told the news site, “I lost my only daughter, a happy and intelligent girl.”
“She was about to graduate in psychology next April, saving money,” Weiny, 53, said. I can’t describe my pain. She died after leaving home to pursue a dream.” Weiny remarked in the interview that he wants to know why supporters couldn’t carry water into Estadio Nilton Santos.
He asked, “I want to know if it’s true that they are prohibited from bringing water and neglected to provide assistance.”
NBC reports that Time4Fun, Swift’s Brazil show coordinator, is under investigation.
Heat forced Swift to cancel a gig on her international Eras Tour days earlier.
Swift stated on Instagram Story, “I’m writing this from my dressing room in the stadium.” “The extreme temperatures in Rio have forced the postponement of tonight’s show.”
“My fans, fellow performers, and crew must always be safe and well.”
Her decision came a day after the “You Belong With Me” singer was recorded gasping for oxygen onstage. Swift interrupted the concert to keep fans hydrated after they started yelling “water”.
“It’s very hot, so if somebody says they need water when it’s this hot they really need it,” Swift said in an X video.
