Her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift, provide Taylor Swift with strong support.
From her early career to her current prominence, the “Bejeweled” singer has rarely been without her parents. They supported Taylor on tour and at awards presentations. They’ve sung her songs and traded friendship bracelets with admirers. Mama and Papa Swift have been Taylor’s proudest parents throughout her life.
Look back at Andrea and Scott’s sweetest moments supporting their daughter.
Taylor surprised fans with “The Best Day,” her lyrical tribute to Andrea, on her Eras Tour Mother’s Day performance. The songwriter remembers showing her parents the song for the first time.
“I wrote this song just compiling these sort of core childhood memories I had of not just her as a mother, but her as a friend,” said Taylor. Her mom’s initial inquisitive answer was described.
She said, ‘It’s nice music. You found it where? It sounds exactly like our experiences.” Taylor said. I told my mother, ‘Mom, I wrote it and recorded it covertly, it is our memories.’ I thought she couldn’t believe I’d create a song about us, so it was the greatest thing ever.”
Andrea broke down in tears when she realized it was an homage, Taylor recalls.
Taylor gave Scott a special souvenir on the Eras Tour’s first night, despite his extensive touring. The “All Too Well” singer shared her father’s “Dad of Headliner” pass for backstage access on Instagram.
“Made my Dad’s tour credential,” Taylor captioned. “We are a small family business.”
Scott and Andrea’s hands bedazzling a white guitar was her next family teamwork photo. In her post, Taylor asked fans who made her “Eras Tour crystallized Fearless guitar.”
“A) Artisans and finely trained craftsmen. B) A professional musical instrument manufacturer. C) My parents with suρer glue and a free afternoon,” quips.
When Mama Swift gave her daughter the 2015 Academy of Country Music Milestone Award, she won hearts nationwide. Andrea gave her heartfelt introduction speech on the ceremony stage a week after the family announced her first cаncer diagnosis.
“I’ve followed this artist since she was a young child with tangled hair… Until her next world tour, she was creative and imaginative. “I’m a proud mom,” Andrea choked.
She added, “I was her daily friend for years. I saw a young girl with few friends become one with many, standing up for herself and her beliefs. Being brave enough to pursue her artistic interests, speaking up against prejudice, and helping others.”
Scott and Andrea Swift are known for their generosity, but Papa Swift has given Taylor Swift guitar picks.
In 2019, Taylor’s staff gave supporters camping overnight in Central Park pizza boxes before her Good Morning America appearance. Scott fed the crowd and distributed Taylor’s Lover album cover-themed pink guitar picks.
