During a recent Apple podcast, the renowned rapper had a conversation with Tyga, 34, but many detected unsettling changes to his appearance.

A video of the exchange was shared on X, the platform that was once known as Twitter. Lil Wayne, 41, and Tyga discussed their professions and the music industry.

With a playful implication that he might be open for performing at the Suρer Bowl when it comes to his hometown of New Orleans in 2025, Lil Wayne appeared to be in a good mood.

The musician’s face was clearly bloated, though, with one side of his jaw appearing wider and sagging.

Many fans expressed their concern for the Grammy Award-winning musician in the comment section almost once, and some others offered hypotheses regarding the change.

“What’s up with your face Wayne? You good, bruh?” inquired one person.

Another asked, “What happened to the goats face?”

A third conjectured in response: “He’s added some more weight. Wayne’s eating well, which is good.

Concerned social media user posted in another thread: “Young Money Radio is back, but what I really need to know is, what’s wrong with Lil Wayne? His eyes and face are swollen.”

“He may have problems with his kidneys, liver, heart, or be taking an immunosuppressive medication like prednisone. He doesn’t seem well,” remarked one more admirer.

But according to one, “He had his wisdom tooth out. In this episode, he stated it.”

Following Lil Wayne’s purported discovery of a gold pistol, herоin, cоcaine, ecstasy, and marijuana during a search by federal investigators on a private jet at a Miami, Florida airport in 2020, some fans speculated that Lil Wayne’s health may be the reason for his swollen face.

After the rapper’s arrest, British model Melissa Howe—who claims to have dated the hip-hop artist from 2017 to 2019—spoke exclusively to The U.S. Sun about the rapper’s way of life.

The rapper “was under the influence of ιllιcιt narcоtics based on his delayed speech and partially closed eyes,” the search warrant stated. It was “readily apparent.”

Documents also reveаl that officers discovered prescription-strength cough syrup, which is occasionally used to create “purple drank.”

Lean, or purple drank, is a concoction of cough syrup, codeine, and antihistamine that is flavored with carbonated drinks.

Melissa claimed she was not shocked to learn about the cough syrup because she had observed him using it frequently in addition to marijuana, but she had never seen him use herоin or cоcaine.

“When I was dating him he seemed to have so much going on mentally,” she recalled.

“I believe that his excessive use of cough syrup exacerbated his nervousness. He also indulged in heavy marijuana smoking.”

HEALTH CONCERNS

In addition to disclosing Lil Wayne’s purported Ԁrug use, Melissa disclosed his health issues.

She stated: “He did go through a phase where he stopped taking the medicines and would instead drink copious amounts of coffee all night long. He was hospitalized a few times after having a seizure.

“But naturally, that would increase his anxiousness, and he would tell me he wasn’t getting any sleep either.

He used to stay up late working on projects for days at a time. He would text me at four, five, and six in the morning.”
