During the Chiefs vs. Bills broadcast, Tony Romo unintentionally called Taylor Swift Travis Kelce’s “wife.”

Tony Romo seems to be in favor of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift getting hitched.

On Sunday, December 10, during the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game on CBS, Romo saw the 33-year-old singer supporting Kelce from a box in Arrowhead Stadium. Romo, 43, addressed the crowd, saying, “As you see, Taylor Swift, Kelce’s wife, in the audience.”

The former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys laughed off his error. “Girlfriend, I apologize,” he said.

Jim Nantz, a fellow pundit, responded, “Not yet.” Nantz made the joke, “You don’t know something we don’t know, do you?” a short while later.

The Swifties quickly shared their excitement on X, the former Twitter. One commenter joked, “Tony Romo just married Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on national television,” while another posted, “TONY ROMO CALLING TAYLOR TRAVIS’ WIFE I SCREAMEEEEEDDDDDD.”

“Whoaaaaa, slow down Tony Romo, don’t get them married off just yet!” exclaimed a third person. 🤿.

Swift saw Kelce, 34, play against the Green Bay Packers for the first time this season on Sunday, her sixth Chiefs game overall. That was just one week ago on December 3. The team had never lost a game with Swift in attendance until that one.

Swift first revealed her romance with the tight end a few days prior to the Chiefs’ most recent game against the Buffalo Bills. She added that by the time she went to her first game in September, they had already established a friendship.

“Right after that, we started hanging out,” she went on. We actually spent a good deal of time together without anyone knowing, which I appreciate because it allowed us to get to know one another. We had been a couple by the time I attended that first game. I believe there are many who believe they witnessed our first date at that game. We would never be sufficiently insane to start a first date with violence.

Swift promised to support her lover by continuing to attend football games when she can. “When you say a relationship is public, it means that I get to watch him do what he loves, we support each other, and we don’t give a damn about other people,” she clarified.
