Taylor Swift makes history for most Billboard music awards of all time

Taylor Swift has a sense of gratitude.

The Midnights singer, 33, and Drake made history at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday by tying for the most awards of any artist at the event with 39 BBMA career honors. She celebrated the occasion by winning ten BBMAs, and she thanked her supporters in an acceptance speech that was recorded backstage during the Eras Tour.

Swift remarked, “Well, this is unreal,” during the recorded address. “I’m speaking directly to the fans about the fact that you guys have given me ten Billboard Awards. Without you, none of this would occur.”

The “Anti-Hero” singer went on to lavish her loyal Swifties with even more affection. “The Billboards base everything off of what you are passionate about and what you listen to, and I’m so honored that you made the tour, The Eras Tour, so magical this year,” she remarked. You watched the film and showed interest in my re-recordings. I really adore you so much.”

“I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have you in my corner and caring about music that I make,” the Grammy winner said in closing. I’m grateful. I express my gratitude to you ten million times over for this.”

With nominations in 20 different categories, the “Karma” singer was the artist with the most nominations at the ceremony. She ended up winning ten awards, including best female artist, top Billboard 200 artist, top Hоt 100 songwriter, top radio song artist, top songs sales artist, top Billboard Global 200 artist, top Billboard global (excluding U.S.) artist, top country female artist, and top selling song. Her only defeat was that of Morgan Wallen, who won eleven awards.

With wins in ten categories and Drizzy’s five, the two A-list celebrities increased their combined career wins total to 39.

Swift is presently traveling across South America as part of her Eras Tour; this weekend marks the stop in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The singer performed at Estadio Nilton Santos on Friday and Sunday, but the intense heat forced her to reschedule her Saturday night gig for Monday.

After returning from her weekend of gigs in Argentina with boyfriend Travis Kelce, Swift took a plane back to New York City last week and was seen going out at Freemans Restaurant with musician Gracie Abrams.

Following her second performance in Buenos Aires last week, the singer-songwriter publicly expressed her love for Kelce, 34, which threw fans into a frenzy.

Following the performance, the singer was spotted jumping into Kelce’s arms backstage and kissing him, then they hugged and left together.
