Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce left the Christmas Day match hand in hand after the Chiefs’ tough defeat

After the Kansas City Chiefs lost their Christmas Day game at Arrowhead Stadium to the Las Vegas Raiders, 20-14, Taylor Swift walked with her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

After the game, Kansas City Star photojournalist Nick Wagner posted a shot on his Instagram Story of the two holding hands in an Arrowhead Stadium hallway. Post caption: “Spent my Christmas waiting for these two lovebirds,” Wagner wrote.

Swift, 34, wore a black and gray checkered miniskirt, red sweater, black tights, her signature black heeled loafers, and a black bomber jacket. Kelce, 34, wore a Chiefs letterman jacket, cable white knit sweater, and gray pants.

The Raiders upset the Chiefs on Christmas Day by scoring on two mistakes in seven seconds in the first quarter. After a close game, the Chiefs fell to 9-6 on the season.

In a CBS Mornings interview, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes praised Swift and his friendship with his wife, Brittany Mahomes.

“She’s top-tier at her profession, and to see how she drives and becomes that—Dude, it’s really cool to hear about and see, and now I have a first-hand look through Brittany and Travis’ eyes,” Patrick added in the interview.

When Swift and Kelce started dating, “everybody stayed away” and “just let [Kelce] do what he was doing.”

“Then, he started bringing Taylor around, and he realized how cool of a person she was, and she is, and so for us, there were a couple of jokes here and there at the beginning,” he said.

Now, “She’s just part of Chiefs Kingdom,” Patrick added. “And she’s part of the team.

Patrick told CBS, “It’s cool that she’s embraced Brittany, and they’ve built a friendship as well.”

“So for me, it’s Travis, man, and he’s lucky enough to be with a great girl, and a great woman, and it’s been cool to interact with her,” he said.

After meeting Swift, Patrick stated he’s “glad that she’s the person that she is” and “That’s why I think her and Travis match so well.”

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s wife Tavia and daughter Gracie shared photographs of Swift carrying an ornate gift package labeled “To Taylor, from the Hunt family” on her birthday earlier this month.

“Happy birthday to this queen,” Gracie Instagrammed. “Amazing, talented, and captivating…Time Magazine’s simplest Person of the Year choice. May this year be your greatest and most blessed.”

Gracie changed the caption of her Instagram birthday homage to Swift days later to announce that her family gave her a microphone purse from Judith Leiber Couture, the perfect accessory for a pop diva.

Tavia confirmed the box’s contents in a remark on her Swift birthday tribute, The Kansas City Star reported. She said that the musician is “actually one of the kindest, most intelligent people I’ve ever met.”
