Although Taylor Swift is scheduled to attend the Golden Globes on Sunday, Page Six has learned that her boyfriend Travis Kelce will not accompany her, despite being in Los Angeles at the same time.
Actually, Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, will take on the LA Chargers on Sunday at SoFi Stadium. CBS will broadcast the game prior to the Globes.
However, people close to him stated he won’t be on the red carpet; instead, he’ll be busy getting ready for the NFL playoffs. According to reports, Kelce won’t be attending any fаncy after-parties because he will be returning to Kansas City with his squad immediately following the game.
Representatives for Swift, Kelce, and the Golden Globes have been contacted by Page Six.
The legendary Swift, who is nominated for a Golden Globe in the new category of Cinematic and Box Office Achievement for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” may win her first Oscar.
The 34-year-old singer has never won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, despite having been nominated four times, most recently last year for her song “Carolina” from the film “Where the Crawdads Sing.”
Her “Eras” movie is getting close to becoming the most profitable concert film of all time with gross sales of over $250 million, surpassing its $15 million budget.
There are just $11 million more for the movie to gross than Michael Jackson’s 2009 movie “This Is It.”
Swift did not attend the 2023 Golden Globes, but following protracted strikes by actors and writers that stopped filming for months, the stars will be present this Sunday.
The singer last visited the Golden Globes in 2020, when she was shortlisted for Best Song for a Musical Picture (Beautiful Ghosts), which was adapted for the big screen. Though they weren’t together on the red carpet, she was reunited with her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn inside the ceremony.
The newly minted billionaire faces off against megahits like “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” this year, along with films like “The Suρer Mario Bros. Movie,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “John Wick: Chapter 4,” “Mission: Impossible — Deаd Reckoning Part 1,” and “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”
Travis Kelce was cold towards Taylor Swift and was not present on the Golden Globes red carpet with her this Sunday because of an old incident.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization that casts the Globe ballots, had 87 members at the time, and none of them were black. In 2021, the controversy surrounding the show’s cancellation by NBC led to the move of the Globes to CBS. The organization has undergone numerous adjustments since then.
After declaring that several players, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes, will sit out the game on Sunday, Chiefs coach Andy Reid has yet to provide confirmation that Kelce will participate.
