Eminem asks Rams QB for support before Detroit Lions Playoff game: ‘You Owe Me’
Eminem, a longtime Detroit Lions fan, has a message for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford: “You owe me.”
In a promo clip on X (formerly Twitter) ahead of the Lions’ playoff game against the Rams on Sunday (Jan. 14), the iconic rapper made a desperate plea to the former Lions QB.
“Stafford, what’d I sаy? You owe me this favor, bro,” Em said in a video during Saturday’s Chiefs-Dolphins game. “I was there for you when you won it. I was there for you. I was right there. I rapped for you Stafford. Bro, I rapped for you!”
The video is a reference to his performance during the 2022 Suρer Bowl halftime show at Sofi Stadium in California. That year, the Rams won against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Stafford played for the Lions for 12 years. In 2021, he was traded for the team’s current quarterback, Jared Goff.
The Lions will play the Rams in Detroit on Sunday, Jan. 14, their first home playoff game in 30 years. If the Lions win, it would be their first playoff victory since 1992.
The rapper has been public about his hopes to get the Lions to the Suρer Bowl this year. In another video , he reveals it’s his New Year’s resolution for the Lions to win the big game.
Eminem is sporting a Barry Sanders hoodie in the new video. Sanders played for the Lions for 10 seasons.
