Man arrested near Taylor Swift’s NYC townhouse after reported break-in attempt




A man caught outside Taylor Swift’s Tribeca home attempted to break into her townhouse again.

A guy arrested near Taylor Swift’s Tribeca home Saturday after police responded to a disorderly person report attempted to break into her townhouse.

The New York Post said that witnesses said the man tried to enter the home in the early afternoon but failed.

On Sunday, an NYPD representative said cops apprehended a man on the same block who tried to unlock a building door. Swift’s home was not broken into. A spokeswoman said the man was charged on an unrelated 2017 Brooklyn warrant for failing to answer a summons.

Authorities withheld the man’s name.

The “You Belong With Me” singer’s representative was emailed Sunday for comment. Whether she was home was unclear. In the evening, her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, will play against the Buffalo Bills in an NFL playoff game. She traveled to Buffalo on Sunday.

While Swift was away, the Tribeca townhouse was the site of many break-ins and attempts, including several by purported stalkers.

A man was prosecuted with trespassing and stalking in 2022 for entering two Swift-affiliated Tribeca homes. The same year, a man was arrested for smashing his car into the townhouse and promising to stay until he saw Swift.

Police say another man broke into her townhouse in 2018 and napped. After doing time, the same individual was charged with another building break-in a year later.
