Taylor Swift won’t be singing at tonight’s Grammy Awards since she is traveling alone.
The six-time nominee is reportedly not appearing because of her Eras tour schedule, according to multiple publications.
Swift will depart for Japan right after the Grammy Awards, according to People. Her tour will start on Wednesday, February 7 and go through February 10.
She will play four consecutive gigs while there before extending the tour through the end of the summer into Australia, Asia, and Europe, with a few stops in the United States and Canada in the fall.
With her remix of “Karma” featuring Ice Spice, Swift is nominated for six Grammy Awards, including album of the year, best pop vocal album, best pop solo performance, song of the year, record of the year, and best pop duo/group performance.
If “Midnights” wins album of the year, the “Anti-Hero” singer has the opportunity to become the first artist in history to win the title four times.
At the event, Swift will also be flying solo without Travis Kelce by her side.
I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and see her win every single award that she’s nominated for, but I think I got practice on Sunday or I guess Sunday is a travel day,” Kelce said, confirming his inability to attend on ESPN Radio’s “The Pat McAfee Show.” “I got to get ready for this big ole Super Bowl we have in a week.”
Following her performance in Japan on February 10, Swift is scheduled to attend the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, as Fox News Digital revealed last week.
To watch Kelce perform, she will need to go from Tokyo to Las Vegas via an 11-hour journey. The 14-hour time difference would allow her to get in Sin City by Saturday evening on February 10.
At the Grammys, though, the “Lover” singer won’t be alone herself.
Swift is seated next to friend and “Snow on the Beach” collaborator Lana Del Rey, who is also a nominee, in a video that was uploaded to CBS’ TikTok.
Fans speculated that Swift would be making a major revelation that evening after she switched the color version of her “Midnights” profile picture on social media to a black and white one.
