Over the weekend, Playboi Carti was observed celebrating with Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, in Los Angeles. Luka Sabbat and the two individuals appeared to be filming a music video together. Ye obstructed the view of the paparazzi by donning masks representing both Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees.

Upon OurGenerationMusic publishing a photo of the group in concert, admirers were ecstatic to learn of the collaboration. “Carti must coordinate a release date with a distributor,” one devotee remarked. Another was less sanguine: “Carthi is currently merely flirting with Ye on the strength of their similarities; it is unlikely that they will accomplish anything else together at this juncture.”

Carti and West’s link-up comes after the two recently collaborated on the single, “2024.” Ye handled production on the song alongside ojivolta and earlonthebeat. While Carti is preparing for the release of a new album, so is West. He’s scheduled to drop his Ty Dolla Sign collaborative effort, Vultures, on February 9, 2024. That date is the latest after several delays to the project. Carti will be making an appearance on the tracklist with the song, “Fuƙ Sumn.” Other collaborators across the album include Chris Brown, Future, Freddie Gibbs, Quavo, Lil Durk, Young TҺug, and more. Nicki Minaj was expected to appear on the song, “New Body,” but she rejected West’s clearance of the track. She explained online that she meant “no disrespect,” but that the “train has left the station.”
