Nobody anticipated where this would go.
Following her Sunday 2024 Grammy Award victory, Taylor Swift revealed the release of her brand-new album, “The Tortured Poets Department”—NOT “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)”.
Swift, who appeared to be channelling “Reputation” with her all-white costume on the red carpet, made the major reveаl when up on stage winning the best pop vocal album medal for “Midnights.”
“April 19 is when my brand-new album releases. During her award speech, the 34-year-old stated, “It’s called ‘The Tortured Poets department.’”
With the caption, “All’s fair in love and poetry,” she posted a black-and-white photo of herself stretched out on a bed, which was the cover, to Instagram as soon as she left the stage.
Due to Swifties’ obsession with dropping “Easter eggs,” or clues about her next projects, many of them assumed a new re-release was imminent, therefore the news quickly caused a furore online.
Swift once referred to her “Reputation” period, which started after her contentious split with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, as “a goth-punk moment of female rage,” frequently associating it with the hues black and green and a lot of snake imagery.
When she showed up at the Golden Globes last month wearing a green sequined gown and a serpentine shade, fans assumed she was teasing a new “Reputation” album.
