Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign announce European ‘Vultures Listening Experience’ shows
Later this week, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are scheduled to perform at three “‘Vultures’ Listening Experience” performances in Europe.
Ye hinted at prospective summer arena dates for his world tour on Instagram earlier this month, including locations in London, Toronto, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York, among others. The Chicagoan subsequently disclosed that he and Dolla $ign will be participating in three ‘Vultures’ listening events in Paris and Italy.
The collaborators will begin their tour in Italy by performing at the Milan Forum in the capital of the country tomorrow (February 22) and the Unipol Arena in Bologna on Saturday (February 24). They will then stop in Paris at the Accor Arena on Sunday, February 25.
Those who wish to locate tickets for the Italian “Vultures Listening Event” performances can do so on this page. Those interested in attending the Paris concert can go here.
Prior to its official release, the duo held an intimate listening party in Italy, Miami, Chicago, and New York to preview the album.
Since its initial release, the album has been mired in controversy. Ozzy Osbourne disclosed that he denied Ye’s request to sample “Iron Man,” an anti-wаrd song by Black Sabbath, on the grounds that Ye was anti-Semitic.
Additionally, the estate of Donna Summer denied Ye’s request to use the singer’s iconic disco single “I Feel Love.” Nevertheless, the interpolation of the song ‘Vultures 1’ onto ‘GOOD (DON’T)’ by the rapper-producer was promptly revoked from the album subsequent to Summer’s estate lodging a complaint.
A preview of the eagerly awaited ‘EVERYBODY’, which features Charlie Wilson and interpolates the Backstreet Boys’ song ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’, was conducted at the “Vulture Rave” in Miami.
Following the announcement by distributor FUGA that they never agreed to distribute the album and are “actively working” to remove it from streaming platforms, the album has been removed from Apple Music.
NME rated ‘Vultures 1’ with two stars, stating that while it is “filled with misogyny,” it is not “the complete failure that could submerge Kanye’s career by six feet.”
Furthermore, it features some well-curated guest appearances by Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, and India Love, and is more cohesive than ‘Donda’ (though that’s not difficult to sаy, considering the album’s duration is roughly half). However, for the time being, attention turns to “Vultures 2” in March and, with any luck, a number of attitude shifts. “Avoid holding your breath.”
On March 14, Ye and Dolla $ign will curate and headline their own night at Rolling Loud California for the fourteenth consecutive year.
