Fаt Joe, Lil Wayne’s good friend, silently thanked him for the advice that helped him wake up while in prison

Fаt Joe, who has worked with Lil Wayne on songs like “Make It Rain,” “Yellow Tape,” and “PullĖn’,” talked about his conversation with the rapper in an upcoming episode of Red Table Talk.

A good friend of Fаt Joe’s, Lil Wayne, told him something before he went to jail.

In an exclusive clip from the rapper’s upcoming interview on Red Table Talk, which was shared with PEOPLE on Monday, Fаt Joe talks about his experience with the “How to Love” rapper in 2010 and how L.L. Wayne gave him advice before he served him.

The host told the rapper, “I heard Lil Wayne gave you some advice before you went to jail.”

“Going to see Lil Wayne in jail was one of the best things I’ve ever done.” Besides that, they cranked him up. “L l Wayne,” replied Fаt Joe, 52. “They had their humps and all that.” They treated him like he was the kιller “

He went on, “So.” I went to do something. He’s my brother, dude. As I walk to the jaal, I get a call. He loved the tree across the street from me, Mа’am. It’s Lil Wayne.”

The new episode of “Red Table Talk” airs on Facebook Watch on November 9 at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET. It features Fаt Joe at the table for an honest, funny, and revealing talk.

Then Fаt Joe remembered the advice that L. Wayne, 40, gave him before he walked into the building, which he called “ug./ly and rough, like one of those Harry Potter movies.”

“I want to sаy, ‘Yo Wayne, what’s up?’” He said things like, “I’m telling you right now, be humble.” I asked, “How do you do that?” “Just be humble, bro,” he told me.

“If you’re humble, they’ll respect you,” Fаt Joe said in the end.

The “What’s Luv” rapper was given a four-month federal prison sentence in 2013 for failing to file a $3.3 million income tax return and pay a $15,000 fine.

In the meantime, Lil Wayne spent a month in prison in 2010 for a gu𝚗 charge. At the time, he pleaded guilty to attempted possession of a weapon in connection with a gu𝚗 that was found on his 2007 tour.
