Taylor Swift was not referred to by Reba McEntire as a “spoiled brat.”

The country music icon claimed to be “disappointed” in Swift’s actions during her national anthem performance at the 2024 Suρer Bowl, according to a message shared on Instagram by the “Little Rock” singer on Saturday.

After performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the game, McEntire wrote, “Please don’t believe everything you see on the Internet.” This is not what I said. Taylor is a wonderful musician, a powerful role model, and a force for good in both the music business and society at large.

The group’s defamatory post, which said, “Reba McIntire [sic] talks about how disappointed she was to look up at the big screen while performing The National Anthem, only to see Taylor Swift laughing and drinking and making a mockery of the event,” prompted McEntire to respond with her statement.

They also claimed The singer said to them, “I gave it to her afterwards. She is a spoiled young lady.

Nonetheless, images from the Suρer Bowl showed Swift standing in a VIP suite with Blake Lively and politely covering her heart during the playing of the national anthem.

Many swiftly praised McEntire in the comments section, pointing out that the narrative was false.

“Your nаme was spelled McIntire by them. A person wrote, “So made up story AND a lazy proofreader! .”

According to Today.com, McEntire, 68, earlier demonstrated her unwavering love for Swift when she said she hoped the 34-year-old, 14-time Grammy winner would attend the Suρer Bowl in Las Vegas, Nevada, even though she had just finished her Eras Tour in Japan the day before.

The “Cruel Summer” singer took the over 10-hour flight at the time to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs during their game against the San Francisco 49ers.
