Ye & Ty Dolla $ign Announce Egyptian Pyramids ‘Vultures’ Show, Ye and Ty will be some of the first in rap to perform at the pyramids making fans unable to wait any longer

Next month, Ye, the artist once known as Kanye West, and Ty Dolla $ign will showcase their skills in Egypt.

The rapper revealed on Wednesday, March 20, that the next Vultures listening event will be held on April 20 at Djoser’s Step Pyramid. The performance is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. local time in the Egyptian desert of Saqqara. Although tickets are presently on sale, no other information about the show is currently available. Ye and Ty will be among the first rappers to perform at the pyramids if they decide to go through with it.

Last summer, Travis Scott tried to arrange a performance at the nearby Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, but the plans were eventually shelved due to “production issues” after La Flame’s performance license was reportedly revoked by the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate for “rituals” involving his artistic values that they felt went against Middle Eastern culture.

Syndicate president and board of directors “have decided to cancel the license issued for hosting this type of concert, which goes against the cultural identity of the Egyptian people,” the company said at the time. “After examining social media opinions and feedback, as well as the news circulating on search engines and social media platforms, which included authenticated images and information about peculiar rituals performed by the star during his performance, contradicting our authentic societal values and traditions,” the Syndicate said at the time.

Scott disputed the idea, stating that his music aims to “unite” his followers worldwide. In a statement from the previous year, he responded, “Nothing could be further from the trutҺ.” “My goal is to bring people together through music, no matter where they are in the world.”

Few American performers have ever had the opportunity to play at the pyramids; the Grateful did so in 1978, and Mariah Carey did so in the Middle East in 2010 with her five-octave vocal range.

Regarding rap, Russ gave a performance at the Giza Pyramids in 2022. Throughout the Vultures rollout, he has also been seen with Ye at a number of locations.

The Vultures combo is moving into the sequel after Ye and Ty Dolla achieved a No. 1 album at the top of the Billboard 200 and “Carnival” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hоt 100. The release date for Vultures 2 is still unknown, though, as the initial March possible release date passed.
