Milo Yiannopoulos, the head of staff for Kanye West, insisted in a letter that the musician be addressed as Ye rather than by his ” nаme.”

According to the letter acquired by Page Six, “Ye is one of the most recognizable people in the world, on par with presidents and popes.”

“He didn’t make the choice to alter his nаme lightly, maybe forfeiting part of the enormous value embodied in the “Kanye West” brand. The modification was complete, enforceable, and long-lasting. He is now this person. Ye is his nаme.

The 39-year-old Yiannopoulos stated that because these are some of “the most visible places,” he is urging “streaming platforms, publishers, stores, unions, lyrics websites, and data resellers” to make the adjustment.

The letter went on, “He has repeatedly referred to it as his nаme.” “Like everyone else, Ye is a Black man in America who desires the right to complete self-determination.”

The “All of the Lights” rapper’s legal nаme change was approved by a Los Angeles court more than two years ago, at the time of the far-right political commentator’s missive.

West, 46, said in court filings in August 2021 that he was changing his nаme for “personal reasons.”

According to TMZ, Kanye West is requesting that prominent figures in the music business honor his choice to use his legally altered nаme, “Ye”.
