The “Like That” remix by Kanye West looks to have received Metro Boomin’s endorsement, further escalating the existing feud amongst major hip-hop artists.
On Saturday, April 20, the rapper and record producer shared a picture of himself on social media. The image shows him standing next to the Chicago rap icon, looking expressionless.
In the midst of their ongoing feud, he took another swipe at Drake by captioning the photo, saying, “Drake somewhere texting his mom they bullying me again.”
Kanye West released a remix of the contentious song “Like That” earlier this week. The song started the current Hip Hop warfare by criticizing both Drake and J. Cole.
The Download With Justin Laboy released the video, in which Ye debuted his remix of Metro Boomin and Future’s globally popular diss tune featuring Kendrick Lamar.
West says, “Yo Dot, I got you,” in reference to Drake and K. Dot’s ongoing feud, in the beginning of the song. Lamar’s jabs against Drizzy and Cole in the first version of “Like That” sparked the current back and forth.
The phrase “Can’t stop, won’t stop/ I just your in a Sean John tank top” then seems to allude to the current allegations of against Diddy.
“Y’all so out of sight, out of mind / I can’t even think of a Drake line / Play J. Cole, get the dry” is how the verse finishes, taking aim at Drizzy and Cole.
Ye’s verse was released soon after an AI-enhanced Drake diss track with Snoop Dogg and 2Pac’s synthetic voices dropped.
Less than a week after “Push Ups” appeared online, on Friday, April 19, the Canadian superstar escalated his bаttle with K.Dot by dropping a new song. While the veracity of his initial cоunterattack was long disputed, “Taylor Made Freestyle” brazenly embraces artificial intelligence, incorporating 2Pac and Snoop Dogg’s computer-generated voices to convey viewpoints beyond Drizzy’s, all while utilizing Drake’s original lyrics.
The 37-year-old makes reference to Taylor Swift’s new album and TDE boss Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith in the bars, after using the perspectives of the two legends to pressure his opponent to respond: “But now we gotta wait a week ’cause Taylor Swift is your new Top/ And if you ’bout to drop, she gotta approve/ This girl really ’bout to make you act like you not in a feud/ She tailor made your schedule with Ant, you out of the loop.”
