Jonathan Owens shares the surprising story of meeting Simone Biles, revealing that he had no prior knowledge of her accomplishments. The couple first connected through the dating app Raya in 2020, and they tied the knot in April. In a recent episode of “The Pivot,” Owens explained how he stumbled upon Biles’ profile.

“I was using the app for a few days when her profile popped up. I thought, ‘Let’s see who this is,’” he recounted to podcast hosts Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder. “I hadn’t really followed gymnastics, so it caught my interest.” At the time, Owens was playing for the Houston Texans.

After matching with Biles, Owens went to the gym, only to find later that she had checked out his Instagram page.
