Chelsea icon Samuel Eto’o has purchased an £18.5 million mansion in Italy, a place where he spent much of his football career striving to acquire such a luxurious property

Samuel Eto’o, the former Chelsea striker, has reportedly invested a significant amount in acquiring a historic Italian villa, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The Cameroonian footballer has purchased an £18.5 million mansion in Portofino, northern Italy, near Genoa. Despite warnings from locals about a supposed curse linked to the property, Eto’o proceeded with the purchase. Get to see it.

The villa, known as Villa Altachiara, was previously owned by Lord Carnarvon, who is infamously connected to the “Curse of the Pharaoh.”

Lord Carnarvon, along with the renowned English archaeologist Howard Carter, first entered the tomb of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun on February 16, 1923. The discovery of the tomb was followed by the dеaths of eight of the 58 attendees within twelve years, fueling the legend of the curse.
