In late 2018, Lamorne Morris purchased an estate in Tarzana, a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley, for $3.1 million. Just over a year later, after customizing the modern Spanish-style home, he shared in a video tour with People that he planned to stay there “for a long time.”
However, the actor and comedian, most recognized for his role as Winston in the popular sitcom “New Girl,” has since had a change of heart. Morris has now put the property back on the market with a significantly higher price tag of $5.4 million.
Though the asking price is about $2.8 million more than what Morris initially paid, he and his close friend Morgan Cleary made considerable upgrades during his ownership. Notable additions include a basketball court and eco-friendly, low-maintenance landscaping in the backyard.
Built in 2018, the expansive white stucco home with a terracotta roof sits on nearly half an acre, tucked behind gates and tall hedges. A wide driveway leads to a two-car garage. The 5,378-square-foot home boasts five bedrooms and eight bathrooms across two levels. The luxurious amenities include a private movie theater, a gym near the patio, and a home automation system with surround sound.
The double-height entryway opens into a living room ready for entertaining, featuring a coffered ceiling and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace. Adjacent to the family room is a dining area with a wet bar and glass wine cabinet, which leads to a gourmet kitchen outfitted with dual islands, high-end appliances, and a cozy breakfast nook. Fleetwood sliding glass doors open the space to an outdoor dining area.
Upstairs, there’s a den and a lavish master suite complete with a balcony, walk-in closet, and a marble bathroom equipped with dual vanities, a steam shower, a soaking tub, and a wood sauna. The resort-style backyard offers a pool and spa, a poolhouse with a bar, and a lounge area with a fire pit. Additional features include a barbecue station and the basketball half-court.
