Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, who already own at least eight properties across the country, have expanded their real estate portfolio by purchasing a new Hidden Hills mansion for $11.3 million. This estate is situated in a prestigious, guard-gated community known for its celebrity residents, including Drake, Kaley Cuoco, Kylie Jenner, and Jeffree Star.
The mansion, which spans over 10,000 square feet and is designed in a “Napa Modern” style, was built last year and had been on the market since June. The Smiths acquired the property at a nearly $1 million discount from the original asking price of $12.2 million.
Set on a 1.2-acre lot at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the estate is perched on a ridge with sweeping views of the San Fernando Valley. It features a double-height entryway with views through the home, an open kitchen with two islands and a large pantry, a soundproof movie theatre with velvet walls, and a games room with a wet bar. Other highlights include a gym with a thermal shower, a formal dining room with a glass-encased wine refrigerator, and a master suite with a fireplace, sitting area, two dressing rooms, a built-in refrigerator, and a coffee bar. Each of the six bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom.
The outdoor space includes stone loggias for al fresco dining, a full outdoor kitchen with a barbecue, a pool with an inset spa, a firepit seating area, a full-size sports court, and a “serenity lounge.” While the property lacks a large, landscaped backyard, the Smiths will likely save on maintenance costs due to the minimal landscaping beyond the perimeter trees.
The couple may hire an interior designer to update the mansion’s luxurious spaces. Their current primary residence, a $42 million custom mega-mansion in Calabasas, features Moroccan-inspired interiors and eclectic furnishings, as seen in Architectural Digest.
This new acquisition adds to the Smiths’ existing Hidden Hills property, a ranch-style home purchased in 2003 and occupied by their son, Jaden Smith. Additionally, Willow Smith bought a contemporary Malibu property for $3.1 million last year. The family also owns properties in Woodland Hills, California, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and a nearly 10,000-square-foot ski chalet in Park City, Utah.
