Grammy-winning beatboxer Kevin Olusola has made an impressive acquisition in the prestigious Westlake Village area

Over the last decade, the Grammy-winning a cappella group Pentatonix has seen remarkable growth. After winning the third season of NBC’s “The Sing-Off” in 2011, they have released numerous EPs and albums, performed tributes at various award shows, and gained viral fame with their collaboration with Dolly Parton on “Jolene,” featured on “The Voice,” which also earned them their third Grammy.

Kevin Olusola, the group’s beatboxer, married his longtime girlfriend Leigh Weissman in a two-day ceremony just over a year ago. Since then, the devout Christian, who was born in Pasadena to Nigerian immigrants and raised in Kentucky, has purchased a $2.8 million home in Westlake Village, a family-friendly suburb about an hour north of Downtown Los Angeles.

Originally built in 1979 and extensively renovated in 2018, Olusola’s new home is situated on a tranquil cul-de-sac with sweeping views of the hills and nearby hiking trails. A brick walkway leads to the double front doors, which open to a foyer with cream-colored parquet floors. The adjoining great room features LaCantina foldaway doors that create a seamless connection to the outdoors and stunning hill views.

Inside, the spacious great room includes a family area with a linear fireplace and built-in cabinetry. The kitchen, described as a “gourmet chef’s fantasy kitchen,” boasts a luxurious Ann Sacks tile backsplash, top-of-the-line SubZero and Wolf appliances, and Caesarstone countertops. A butler’s pantry connects to the formal dining room, which has a bold contemporary design featuring an icicle chandelier, fabric walls, and a white stone fireplace. The main floor also includes a guest bedroom suite, mud room, and laundry room, along with a living room that features a modern bar.

The second floor has four additional bedrooms, including a spacious master suite with its own fireplace and sitting area, as well as a bathroom with dual vanities and a glass steam shower. A large terrace off the main landing provides expansive sunset views over the tranquil hills.

In the backyard, a small lawn and a brick-and-concrete patio surround a uniquely shaped hexadecagonal pool and Jacuzzi. Other features of the home include epoxy garage flooring, a Sonos audiovisual system, motorized window coverings by Lutron, and recessed LED lighting throughout.

At 32, Olusola still owns his Los Angeles bachelor pad, a three-bedroom townhouse in an upscale gated community in the rapidly changing Hawthorne area. This property, purchased for about $850,000 in 2016, is currently listed for $999,000 and is already in escrow, accepting fallback offers.
