Mike Tyson, regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers ever, purchased his six-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion in Henderson, Nevada, for $2.5 million in 2015, despite having earned over $400 million during his career.
Known as “The Baddest Man on the Planet,” Tyson’s mansion is located near Las Vegas. However, in 2003, he had to declare bankruptcy due to $23 million in debt, according to The Post. Over the years, Tyson has spent around $300 million on real estate, luxury vehicles, diamonds, and even pet tigers. While his estate is substantial by American standards, it doesn’t carry the extravagant aura of a billionaire’s residence, especially considering that celebrity mansions typically average around $20 million.
The expansive 10,400-square-foot home sits on nearly an acre of land in the Seven Hills area and includes two casitas, one of which has an apartment. Among its impressive amenities are a video room, wine cellar, two spacious master suites (one on each floor), a disappearing-edge pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, and a large covered terrace.
The Italian-style mansion features custom iron railings, arched doorways, vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, stone fireplaces, marble flooring, and a grand marble staircase. The gourmet kitchen is equipped with Thermador stainless steel appliances, a large island with a breakfast bar, and custom cabinetry.
Recently, Tyson made headlines again after he was involved in an incident on a flight. According to his representatives, he was seen punching an “aggressive” passenger during a JetBlue flight to Miami for a cаnnabis conference after-party. Tyson was promoting toаd venom tripping and psychеdelic toаds at the event.
“Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson encountered an incident on the flight with a passenger who began hаrassing him and threw a water bottle at him while he was seated,” his spokespeople informed The Post. Law enforcement detained two individuals at the scene, one of whom sustained non-life-threаtening injuries. However, the injured party provided minimal information and refused to cooperate with the police investigation, according to the San Francisco police.
