Shaquille O’Neal sold his Florida property for $11 million after three years and working with five different brokers, achieving a 60% reduction from the original asking price of $28 million. The deal was finalized by Benjamin Hillman from Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, who expressed gratitude to Shaq for selecting him and committed to finding the right buyer.
Situated in the Isleworth golf community west of Orlando, the 31,000-square-foot mansion boasts stunning views of Lake Butler and features numerous amenities that rival some of the nation’s most luxurious homes. Among its highlights are a 6,000-square-foot Miami Heat-themed basketball court, a showroom for 17 cars, a cigаr club, a wine cellar, a theater, a safe, a recording studio, an aquarium decorated with hierоglyphics, and a pool dubbed “Shaq-apulco.”
In the living room hangs a large piece of artwork depicting the former MVP driving a semi-truck, while Superman is painted on the mirrored walls of the auto showroom. Guests are welcomed by a spacious lobby featuring two mahogany staircases, tray ceilings, and marble floors, leading into the 12-bedroom mansion, which includes a 44-foot office and a main suite adorned with cheetah-print carpet that overlooks the serene ocean.
The four-acre estate offers 700 feet of lakefront, complete with a private dock and tiki hut. Security is a priority, with gates, a 10-foot privacy wall, and 15 to 18 cameras in place to keep visitors at bay. Shaquille O’Neal has won four NBA championships with six teams and, after retiring, became a commentator on TNT’s “Inside the NBA” and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Public records indicate he purchased the property for $3.95 million in 1993. Benjamin Hillman listed the property, while Rob Rahter of Stockworth Realty Group represented the buyer.
