Dwayne Johnson playfully teased his friend Kevin Hart’s height on The Graham Norton Show.
The two have starred together in multiple films, including Jumanji, Central Intelligence, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
It was no surprise that Dwayne felt comfortable enough to poke fun at his frequent co-star Kevin.
When discussing his role in the movie Red One, where he’s not the tallest character, Graham asked if it felt strange for him not to be the tallest for once.
Dwayne jokingly responded, “I really got to experience what it’s like to look up to others for a change – this is what Kevin Hart’s life is like!”
Dwayne was joined on the Graham Norton Show by Lucy Liu, Kate Winslet, Jennifer Lopez, Jharrel Jerome, and Celeste.
This comes amid the growing buzz around height, sparked by Gary Barlow and his son Daniel going viral after the Take That singer posted a family photo of his son towering over him.
In the heartwarming picture, Gary barely reaches his son’s shoulder, which was originally shared by Gary to celebrate Father’s Day in June 2023.
The photo quickly became meme material, with jokes circulating online about Daniel’s height, although in reality, the 24-year-old is only a few inches taller than the average British man.
The average height for men in the UK is 5’9, and for women, it’s 5’3.
Daniel, who is studying medicine, stands tall at 6’2, but appears even taller next to his ‘short king’ father. In reality, Gary is just a few inches shorter than the average, standing at 5’7.
Meanwhile, a throwback photo of Bear Grylls and his seldom-seen son Marmaduke has emerged, showing the 18-year-old towering over the 50-year-old adventurer.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is currently promoting his new film, Red One, where he plays the North Pole security chief who faces a crisis when Santa Claus is kidnapped.
Dwayne’s character, Callum Drift, teams up with bounty hunter Jake O’Malley, portrayed by Chris Evans, to rescue the kidnapped victim.
Red One boasts a stellar cast, including Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka, Big Mouth co-creator Nick Kroll, and Cheaper By The Dozen’s Bonnie Hunt.
The film is directed by Jake Kasdan, who previously worked with Dwayne on Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level.
Jake is the son of Lawrence Kasdan, the writer of Raiders of the Lost Ark and co-writer of several Star Wars films, including The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
Originally set for release five days before Christmas last year, Red One was initially slated for Prime Video, but the Hollywood strikes led to a delay, and now it will have a theatrical release.
During a recent press conference, Lucy shared that she was initially told she wouldn’t have much screen fighting in Red One, only to find out later that the opposite was true.
